About Us

Hi there, we are Laura and Nick, a travel couple from two different countries. Laura is from Romania and Nick is from the United States. We met in 2019 while attending Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. We are both currently working towards earning our degrees. Laura is studying Computer Science and Nick is in a BS/MS program for Biomedical Engineering. We are travel and hiking enthusiasts experts in the Southwestern United States. So far we have taken two road trips more than seven thousand miles through the southwest exploring remote and stunning locations. We spent over three months in the southwest exploring, hiking, and learning more and more about the area. We have explored 30/64 U.S. national parks so far, and we have learned so much along our journey. Through our experiences, we have learned the ins and outs of planning and carrying short day trips to long-term adventures. We have learned so much in our adventures, and we love to share our hiking, travel, road trip, and exploring knowledge so we can teach you to have the best experience!

About Laura

Hi there, I’m Laura, and I was born in Bucharest the capital city of Romania.  Growing up, my mom always tried to take me wherever she could because she thought it was very important to see the world and learn about other cultures. I visited over 15 countries in Europe and Africa and I’ve been on countless road trips. Because of this, I truly understood what my passion is. To travel the world, learn about different cultures, and talk with locals from all over the globe.

When Nick and I did our two +7000 miles road trips, my passion evolved and my knowledge increased and that’s why I wanted to create this blog: to share with you our tips and experiences so that you can have a fantastic trip! Hope you’ll enjoy our blog!

About Nick

Hi there, I’m Nick, and I was born and raised in Hamilton, New Jersey. When I was younger, my family took a trip to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. I was amazed by the canyon’s beauty and immensity, and from then on, I fell in love with nature. Camping and hiking became so important in my life and made me feel connected with the planet. Hiking, camping, and the great outdoors became an even bigger part of my life through my time as a boy scout. Every year from when I was ten to when I was eighteen, I went on countless hikes and went camping nearly once a month every month!

On my journey to becoming an Eagle Scout, I learned so much about outdoor skills from so many fantastic teachers which fueled my love of exploring nature! My passion for camping and hiking eventually grew into a love for backpacking, traveling, and eventually road tripping. The most important lesson I learned on my journey to Eagle Scout is that the best thing we can do is to give back to others and our community. There is nothing I love more than sharing my expertise in outdoor adventures, hiking, camping, and more in the hopes that I can teach you skills that help your passion for exploring grow!

How We Fell In Love With Traveling Together

Between our summer and fall terms of school, we decided to use our two-week break to take a road trip across the US.  While on the trip we visited countless states, beautiful national parks, and cultural cities.  Taking this 7000 plus mile road trip in our little Honda Civic showed us how much more there was to the US and the world.  We realized that we want to see all kinds of places, experience all kinds of cultures, and understand the world in a way we never thought was possible.  From then on we have documented our journeys on Instagram and realized we wanted a way to share even more about our adventure.  We created this blog to share our experiences in the hopes that we can inspire you to travel.  It can be very difficult to find the time to travel in our busy lives, trust us we know how difficult it is to balance a year-round college education while employed with travel, but we want to show you how.
